For several years, CSAs have been predominantly installed with a single network card.

The decision to install two network cards is made for two main reasons:

  • If no DMZ is available.
  • To conceal the administration console from external access.

In our specific scenario, the eth1 card cannot access the GSB console. Therefore:

  • Eth0 is designated as the card accessible from the core server.
  • Eth1 is designated as the card accessible from the internet.
